The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office unveiled the Brian “Ish” Ishmael Memorial Highway this week, located on a stretch of Highway 50 near Missouri Flat Rd. The road is named after Deputy Ishmael, who was killed in 2019. (FOX40)

There’s been a shake up at Aftershock 2022 — Judas Priest, Bullet for My Valentine, If I Die First, and Nita Strauss will no longer be playing this October. They are slated to be replaced by Danzig, Joey Valence, In Flames, Prong, and Set It Off. No reason was provided. 🎸
Plan Ahead -
Ahead of Fourth of July, the Old Sacramento Boat Parade will cast off this Saturday. Beginning at 1 p.m., decorated boats will set sail from the Sacramento Yacht Club up the river through Old Sac before turning around at the Virgin Sturgeon restaurant. ⚓️
Sports -
Sacramento Republic FC's U15 squad will advance to the MLS NEXT Cup semifinals following their 3-0 victory over New York Red Bulls earlier this week. They are the tournament's only remaining club not representing an MLS team. ⚽️ (sacrepublicfc.com)

The Sacramento Zoo announced that ticket prices will be reduced for the Fourth of July holiday. Admission will cost just $10 on Monday, instead of the usual $18-$20, so go wild and grab tickets now. 🦁 (Sacramento Bee)
Biz -
Illinois-based US Foods — which distributes food products to schools, hospitals, and more — has opened a new McClellan Park facility to serve as its processing + distribution hub for Northern California. The 355,000-sqft facility also houses a demonstration kitchen and a training center, and employs ~250 people. (Sac Biz Journals)
Edu -
Sierra College in Rocklin is adding a new, three-story building to its campus. Expected to open by the fall of 2023, the 75,000-sqft New Instructional Building will accommodate classrooms, office space + teaching labs. 🏗 (Roseville Today)
Feel Good -
Local non-profit Voice of the Youth put the pedal to the metal with its charity efforts when the organization handed out 400+ gift cards worth $20-$50 to Sacramento families affected by rising gas prices.
