Father’s Day is Sun., June 19, and no matter who you call "Dad" — or how bad their jokes are — they all deserve a little extra love.
In case you’re struggling to find the perfect gift that isn’t a fresh pair of lawn-mowing sneakers or a new tie, we rounded up five Father’s Day gift ideas + where you can find them around the River City. |

🥩 For the dad that likes to eat
Treat Pops to a nice meal this Sunday with a brunch box featuring a cheesy brioche pretzel, a ham croissandwich + more from Ginger Elizabeth. Or — if he’s more comfortable behind the grill — pick up some high-quality, locally-sourced steaks from V. Miller Meats for him to show you how it’s done.
🍺 For the dad that loves a good beer
The City of Trees is home to plenty of craft breweries, so what better way to show Big Papa you love him than to grab some cold ones from Track 7, Oak Park Brewing Co., or Tower Brewing that he can toss in the garage fridge. 🚣 For the dad that likes to get outside
Take Dad out for a day on the water at the Sac State Aquatic Center, where you can rent equipment or book him a lesson on how to kayak or windsurf. If nothing else, he’ll love sitting by the water with a cooler full of that beer you bought him.
🪓 For the dad that likes to try new things
Are kayaking and windsurfing not extreme enough for your Pop-Pop? Check out Wake Island, which offers wakeboarding + an aquatic obstacle course. For something more land-based, head to The Smart Axe. 👕 For the dad that has it all Some fathers swear they don’t want anything. Give them a good laugh with one of these dad joke t-shirts from our Six & Main store. |
