Whether you're strolling through McKinley Park, cleaning up at home, or cruising around the American River Parkway, there’s something about turning on a podcast that makes the activity so much more engaging.
Fortunately, there are more than a few local podcasts to educate, entertain + enlighten you. Let’s tune into some Sac-made podcasts. |

🎧 Something Was Wrong This true-crime docuseries dives into discoveries, trauma, and the recovery from shocking life events + abusive relationships. The creator, Tiffany Reese, is from the 916 — and has picked up traction within Sac’s Reddit community. 🎧 Good Bottle
Local wine shop owner Chris Sinclair sits down with individuals in the alcohol industry to discuss topics that impact the spirit industry + how to curate experiences with drinks that can elevate social gatherings.
🎧 Kids Considered This UC Davis Children’s Hospital show brings two pediatric doctors together to discuss what may normally be confusing health topics about children and breaks them down with simple, non-medical language for parents. 🎧 Dissect
This locally-made music podcast — which topped the NYT’s list in 2018 — believes great art deserves more time to dissect. Host Cole Cuchna (who once worked for Temple Coffee) sits down to examine a single album per season + one song per episode. The most recent season is dedicated to discussing Bo Burnham’s “INSIDE.”
🎧 Dare Daniel
Share the worst movie you can imagine with this program, and local film critic Daniel Barnes and comedian Corky McDonnell will do the dirty work. They sit down every other Tuesday to watch + review the film so you don’t have to. |
