Since mid-May, cases of monkeypox have been reported from several countries that are non-endemic for this rare disease, including the United States. The health and safety of Sacramento’s LGBTQ+ community continue to be the Center’s top priority. In collaboration with Sacramento County’s Department of Health Services, health leaders, and health organizations, we will continue our work in monitoring developments on monkeypox and advocating for the expansion of eligibility criteria for the monkeypox vaccine to all peoples and genders.
